Explorative Learnjing
Incorporating Project Based Learning has been one of the most rewarding experiences for me as a teacher as well as for my students. We worked with our high school students to design classroom furniture that would help elementary students with disabilities for their Cooper Hewitt Design Challenge.
Roberta R Elementary TeacherWe decided to try PBL for our history/humanities course. We decided as a grade level to have our students to think about how our students could as future city planners, reimagine our cities as we think about becoming more green and more energy efficient. It allowed our students to apply a good deal of their knowledge about policies and to have them explore the laws at the local, state, and federal level.
Steve B. High School TeacherWe had our students working with a local hospital to help children with psychosocial support and the hospital staff with support. It was a really great experience for our students working with adults and patients. It turned out to be a really meaningful experience for everyone.
